How does Public Attention work?

When you work with our COR Network, you should know this: a key point in public communication is the “Public Attention” for a cause or a topic — and another factor is its “Importance”. In public perception these two factors often diverge widely. That can be a big problem for solving important and urgent challenges. That is why our COR Network shows a score representing both factors. Often, to reach a societal solution to a problem, you first have to fight to win enough Public Attention for a topic — even when it is in fact very, very important (Importance).
